About
Senior-led infrastructure guidance for teams who've outgrown "it mostly works."
I'm Matthias, a senior infrastructure and cloud architect focused on hybrid environments (vSphere, Azure, and Linux). I help teams stabilize and modernize their systems without breaking what already works.
Previously I led infrastructure programs across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments with coverage for storage, BCDR, networking/SD-WAN, physical and virtual servers, and NGFW.
My work is project-led, automation-first, and grounded in operational reality. I build guardrails, reduce drift, and leave behind documentation that your team can actually operate.
The goal isn't to sell more tools. It's to make infrastructure predictable, secure, and sustainable so the business is less fragile.

Operating philosophy
Make IT boring again
Predictable operations beat heroic recoveries. Design for calm, not adrenaline.
Automation reduces drift
Idempotent scripts and standards replace fragile one-off fixes.
Security by default
Harden the baseline, then make it easy to keep hardened.
Document the decisions
Systems survive when runbooks and ownership boundaries are explicit.
